You may have already received an email notifying you of a change to our billing process, and we’d like to take this opportunity to remind you of the change. Going forward, all subscriptions will be billed on a first of the month cycle. Effective February 1, all billing will be processed on the first of the month. Customers with a billing date other than the first of the month will be billed a prorated amount on your next bill date to bring your subscription in line with this new policy.
Below are some questions we believe you may have about this switch.
Q: Do we have to switch?
A: Yes. All customers who are billed monthly or receive monthly invoices will be moved to “first of the month” billing effective February 1st.
Q: Why is this required?
A: Moving all customers to a “first of the month” billing date allows us to streamline and optimize our billing processes to serve you better. It also provides our customers with more predictability for their billing cycles, which can help improve your cash flow.
Q: What does this mean for my billing?
A: As noted above, you will receive a prorated bill for January. For example, if your current billing date is on the 15th of the month, you will receive a bill for the period of January 15th through January 31st. From February 1st onward, you will be charged or receive an invoice on the first of the month.
Q: What does a prorated bill mean to me?
A: This means that your next bill will be smaller than normal, since you will only be paying for a portion of the month - the days between your current invoice date and the end of the month. The next bill after this prorated bill will be for the full amount you normally expect.
Q: How does this affect me if I am billed on a quarterly or annual basis?
A: We are making this switch for all customers. Therefore, if you are currently billed on a quarterly or annual basis, your next bill will be prorated, and subsequent billing will be done on the first of the month coinciding with your payment due date.
Q: What if I already got my bill for this month?
A: If you’ve already received a bill in January, your next bill will be prorated and you will be moved to first of the month billing on the next bill after that.
